Like any other African child, I was born and raised in the rural area of Remera Kigali Rwanda.
Being the only boy in a family of 5, I had to share my love to my four siblings unconditionally. Having to live with my beautiful sisters, I developed the passion in descent grooming and personal hygiene.
As we all know, life is not a bed of roses. Sometimes the thorns are more than the sweet smelling noses.
In such of greener fallows I moved to Nairobi Kenya. Starting life in a foreign land wasn’t a cup of coffee for me. I had to do the odd jobs to put a meal on the table. At times I had to volunteer at various organizations among them Tushirikiane Africa.
Through this, I got to learn of the many challenges people go through especially women and children. As the Holy Book Says, God is the rewarder of the Diligent. My labor wasn’t in vain and I secured a place to study beauty, hair dressing and Cosmetology at The Lio College WHILE at night I was doing security guard PINKERTON LTD.
After tarmacking in quest of a well paying job, I landed a commission job where I had to share the little I made with my employer. As disheartening as it can be, this didn’t deter me from pursuing my passion.
After the dark ages, the good Lord blessed me with my own salon which has enabled me to reach out to many children and the needy in the society. Surely, be who you are never turning down an opportunity because you feel that you are not qualified enough for it.
In the beauty industry, it’s all about being creative, knowing what the client wants and making it your business to satisfy her to the fullest.
All this couldn’t have become a reality were it not for lovely daughter ANGE Devine who had a heart of Gold.it was her dream to reach out to the less privileged in the society.
I remember of an incident when we were just walking in the streets of Nairobi and we happened to pass by a woman and a child laying on the street verandah. The little baby was crying uncontrollably. Being who she was, she reached out to her sling bag and gave the little child some cash I had given her for her swimming.
This really touched me and I knew for sure, my daughter was a real Gem. However, as they say, Gods plans are not our plans neither His ways our ways. My daughter went to be with the Lord at the tender age of 12 years through a greasy road accident.
In honor of her memory, I decided to see her dream come to life by visiting the various children’s home and reaching out to the street families. That how young planet arise (Y.P.A) Originated. Dear girl, you may be gone but your bright smile and sweet memories lingers. RIP till we meet again.
Don’t follow the crowd, if you disagree about something say it and stand by it. It is better to be wrong about your views. Than to be right by other people’s views. Learn to manage time value you time and other people’s time .remember that to prosper in life it takes time, effort and sacrifice. all you have or all you are is because of God.
